We will be moving in a week! I can't believe it's finally here. It seems like yesterday that we arrived at Ft. Rucker. When we drive away next week we will have been here almost 2 years to the day.During those two years we have made some amazing memories. Beach trips, days at the lake. lunches. brunches, and many dinners with the wonderful friends we made here. I don't know if our experience would have been half as memorable as it was without our friends. With the excitement of moving comes a lot of goodbyes. Sadly we don't get to take our friends with us and have to say "so long for now" to many of them. I love that aviation is a small community and that it is very likely that our paths will cross again. It is also exciting to know that I have friends all over the country that I can visit!
We have high hopes that Ft. Riley, KS will be just as memorable as Ft. Rucker. We've bought our first home there and are looking forward to putting down some temporary roots for the next 5-6 years. The first year it going to be interesting since we are not used to ice or snow but I am ecstatic about the milder summers that come with that! I will try to be good about posting all of our new adventures in the midwest!
