A little piece of nostalgia: Drive in Movies!

I know many of my friends around here have been to the drive in movie theater but I know there are some of you that have not heard about it or haven't been. It is definitely something everyone should check out. With a military I.D. it is only $5 per person and it is always a double feature. That is a steal when compared to going to a normal theater and paying $8 + per person for one movie. The movies change often so there is usual some variation from weekend to weekend. It is the Continental Drive-In, in Wicksburg, Al. If you are on 84 going to Dothan it will be on your left. You can't miss their huge sign! You can check out their web site at http://www.continentalcinemas.com/index.htm

Why Wait?! Just Jump In!!

I've noticed in the last couple of weeks that there are a lot of renter's out there that are thinking of buying but are afraid to take the plunge. I know that the market scares some but some of the fears I am seeing are unfounded in this area. Take a step back from the television and the news paper and call a local real estate agent. They know your area better than any news company does. They can advise you weather it is a good time to buy in your area. Don't be afraid to get educated! It just might be the perfect time to buy! It never hurts to ask!

Life is a Picnic!

So this past weekend one of our friends had the incredible idea for a few of us to get together Saturday and have a picnic at Lake Tholocco on post. I think people take the simple pleasures in life for granted and may think things like picnics are lame. Well you would be wrong. It was just three couples and we all brought different items. Lake Tholocco has charcoal grills available in the picnic area so we used that and cooked burgers, hot dogs and later on we even made smores! It was simple but so much fun! The weather was beautiful and even though it has warmed up some it felt perfect after 4:00pm. It was an amazing afternoon spent with friends! Before the weather gets too chilly, I think everyone should take advantage of the perfect temps and take dinner outside!

New Place to Shop!

I met two of my lovely friends for coffee this morning at Boldly Going and then headed downtown for some shopping. There is a new store call "Gossip" and it has some really cute clothes and accessories. We also went to the Younique Boutique, Diva, and The Consignment Cat. All are really great stores that everyone should check out!

Fine Dining in Enterprise

I know a few of you in the area have complained that there are not any really nice places to go to eat; a place to celebrate an anniversary or have a quite adult dinner without the kids. I now know exactly where all of you should go! The Rawls in downtown Enterprise! It's just been remodeled and opened it's doors to the public last week. They serve lunch and dinner, they have rooms for large parties, meeting rooms, and it is also a Bed and Breakfast.

I went there for lunch today and it was fantastic! I had a hangar steak sandwich with blue cheese slaw and caramelized onions. I can't describe to you how tasty it was! Every one loved what they ordered and we sampled some of their desserts. My favorite was the fried apple pie with vanilla ice cream. Now I know you might be thinking what could be more simple than apple pie? This was like no apple pie I've had! So I encourage everyone to find a babysitter and go out to The Rawls this weekend! Making Memories at Fort Rucker

Fort Rucker has been such a special place for us. We have made so many unforgettable friends. This past weekend we went out and had a spectacular time with some of our favorite people! Friday night it was 80's Night at The Landing Zone. A group of us went to celebrate our friend Jenna Wilcox's birthday. It was one of the best birthday parties ever! There was an awesome band called the M-80's that played the best hits of the 80's all night long. The Landing Zone really committed to the theme with 80's paraphernalia on the tables and fun 80's themed drinks. I must say the "Top Gun" was pretty tasty! John Hugh's films played on all the T.V.s and there were door prizes. It was such a fun party!!! I am yet again impressed by the awesome things that go on here on Fort Rucker!

Saturday morning I was the early bird and went out to show a couple of houses! It amazes me how much I love working here. Most people would dread getting up early on the weekend to work but to me it's exciting and fun! I love that I get to find someone a house that will become their home that they will hopefully make precious memories in.

Saturday afternoon we went to the vow renewal of our good friends the Hammett's. They were also celebrating their 10 year wedding anniversary! They renewed their vows on the east beach of Lake Tholocco. It was really sweet and I wish them many more years of happiness together!

Sunday was a really special day for me. I wrote my first offer for my client!!!!!! I am so excited!! I hope everything goes smoothly! It has been such a wonderful learning experience. I love my job!
